Fuzz King '65 Point to Point
If you've ever been fascinated by the unique, primordial sound of the Maestro FZ-1A fuzz, but have found the prices for original units astronomical, wanted to leave your original alone, or maybe found the other "clones" out there fall short of your fantasies, your search is at an end. The Fuzz King's sound brings to mind countless classic sizzling guitar riffs from the mid 60's. My version sounds nearly identical to an original, is true bypass and a unique effect pedal you can take with you to the studio, practice or to a gig and make a unique statement.
In this special build, I have used 3 matched and auditioned 2N2613 transistors, just like the originals used, from my limited stash, and wired them into a point to point board (again, like originals used). Not only that, but I also have wired the unit with single conductor cloth covered wire for that real McCoy vibe. Carbon comp resistors are used for unsurpassed warmth.
